Deepinder Goyal is set to introduce a new wearable device named Temple, which focuses on monitoring blood flow to the brain, distinguishing it from typical smartwatches.

Deepinder Goyal, founder of Zomato’s parent company Eternal, is planning to launch a new wearable device called Temple. Unlike smartwatches that track steps, heart rate and sleep, this device is designed to track blood flow to the brain. Temple has also been spotted on badminton player PV Sindhu during live matches. Here is what we know about the upcoming wearable.
What Is Deepinder Goyal’s Temple?
Temple is a small, pill-shaped device that sits on the side of the forehead, near the ear. It uses a technology called BrainFlow to track changes in blood flow to the brain.
The idea is to help users understand how their bodies respond to activities such as exercise, sleep and meditation. The device is also designed to provide insights into recovery, focus and other body signals.
However, these features and measurements should not be treated as a medical diagnosis.
Temple Wearable Features
Temple uses optical sensors based on photoplethysmography (PPG), a technology also used in smartwatches to measure changes in blood flow.
The device attaches to the skin using special adhesive tapes called Grips. According to Goyal, users can wear it while running, swimming and showering. The device is also designed to be small enough to wear with glasses.
While one Grip can last up to seven days, the company recommends changing it every two to three days, especially after sweating.
