The Indian Army conducted extensive trials of next-generation defence technologies, aiming “Capacity Development Demonstrations” at crucial locations across the country, including the Pokhran Field Firing Ranges, Babina Field Firing Ranges, and Joshimath.
This includes dedicated Air Defence equipment demonstrations that would be held in Agra and Gopalpur. These field trials are being conducted under near-combat conditions, integrating electronic warfare simulations to assess the performance of cutting-edge defence systems rigorously, the Army said in an official release.
It added that the Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivediearlier visited Babina Field Firing Ranges on May 27, and reviewed the ongoing demonstrations.
The demonstrations, the Army said, were a showcase of advanced technologies developed under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Calling the trials a significant step of the Indian Army’s roadmap for a ‘Decade of Transformation’.
These are designed, the Army said, to ensure rapid absorption of emerging technologies to meet evolving battlefield requirements.
A large number of defence industry partners are taking part in the demonstration, reflecting the increasing synergy between the Indian Army and domestic manufacturers,” it added.
