Debris from an air ambulance that mysteriously vanished early Saturday in the waters off Nantucket has been discovered floating in the ocean, the US Coast Guard confirmed.
Crews from the Boston-based Coast Guard cutter William Sparling rushed to the scene off the coast of Massachusetts and were sifting through wreckage to identify parts of the downed medical transport plane, a USCG spokesperson told The Post Saturday night.

The doomed Gulfstream G100 twinjet was en route from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport to Boston Logan International Airport when it suddenly went dark on Federal Aviation Administration radar shortly before its scheduled 1:25 a.m. landing, according to the Coast Guard and FlightAware.
Six people were on board — four Canadians, including two medics and two pilots, as well as a Bermudian patient and their relative, operator Latitude Air Ambulance revealed to The Canadian Press. Their names were not made public.
Coast Guard Base Boston was expected to hold a press conference at 11 a.m. Sunday to provide updates on the search and rescue efforts.
A full-scale probe will likely be spearheaded by the National Transportation Safety Board or its Canadian counterpart, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, said the Coast Guard spokesperson.
Chilling air traffic control recordings from LiveATC.net revealed a New York controller frantically trying to contact the pilot before the crash.
“You’re coming in blind? Is that what you said?” the air traffic controller asked around 12:46 a.m. “Are you declaring an emergency or no?
“You’re coming in a little weak so I didn’t hear what your response was,” the controller added.
The flight then suffered a terrifying dive, plunging from 24,000 feet to 11,000 feet in roughly three minutes starting at about 1:04 a.m., before stabilizing, according to FlightAware data.
