Price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder cut by Rs 183 from July 1, easing costs for restaurants, hotels and other businesses across major cities
The price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs 183, offering relief to restaurants, hotels and other businesses that rely on commercial cooking gas. The revised prices came into effect from July 1, with new rates applicable across major cities.
After the latest revision, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi has come down to Rs 2,930 from Rs 3,113.50.
However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder.
Steep Rise In Prices In 2023
The latest reduction marks the first price cut in commercial LPG cylinders in 2026 after a series of steep hikes over the past few months. At the beginning of the year, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi stood at Rs 1,691.50. However, prices rose sharply in the following months.
In March, commercial LPG prices were increased twice. The cylinder became Rs 28 costlier on March 1, followed by another Rs 114.50 hike on March 7. The biggest jump came in May, when the price was increased by Rs 993, taking the cylinder price to Rs 3,071.50 in Delhi. This was followed by another Rs 42 increase on June 1, pushing the price to Rs 3,113.50.
With the latest Rs 183 reduction, the price has eased to Rs 2,930, offering some relief after months of continuous increases. Consumers can check the latest city-wise commercial LPG cylinder prices on the official websites of Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL).
Latest Rates Across Cities
Following today’s price cut, the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in New Delhi now costs Rs 2,930. In Lucknow, the price has been reduced from Rs 3,236 to Rs 3,052.50, while in Kolkata, it has fallen from Rs 3,255.50 to Rs 3,081.50. In Patna, the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now be available for Rs 3,227.
