Bollywood Actress Malvi Malhotra Recalls Her Meeting With Ahmedabad Plane Crash Pilot Sumeet Sabharwal 10 Days Before The Air India Crash During Her Flight To Dubai, Shares An Untold Story!
The horrific and tragic Ahmedabad plane crash involving Air India flight that was en route to London from Ahmedabad has shocked the entire world. It unfortunately ended up being one of the most disastrous crashes in the history of air accidents and everyone is certainly heartbroken about it. The flight was led by captain Sumeet Sabharwal who despite putting forward his best attempt to save the lives of his passengers onboard unfortunately couldn’t do so and in the process even lost his own life.
For actress Malvi Malhotra, the Ahmedabad plane crash is more than just horrific news. The reason being, her fond memory with the same pilot who was in charge of her recent Air India flight to Dubai about 10 days before the crash took place. No wonder, the actress was jolted and shaken hearing his name after the plane crash. On being asked more about her meeting and memory of captain Sumeet Sabharwal, Malvi shared,
“Well, when I first heard the news, I was absolutely devastated and heartbroken. I might not know anyone personally but just the sheer fact that so many people unfortunately lost their lives in such an accident breaks my heart. However, I had shivers down my spine the moment I read the name of the pilot who lost his life in the process. Sumeet ji was my pilot just about 10 days before the accident took place when I was flying to Dubai in Air India. I had the most wonderful memories of him. From his charming and witty, humorous in-flight announcements to always keeping the passengers updated about every movement with politeness, he was simply phenomenal. Even during landing, I remember things were so smooth that I have to call it as one of my smoothest landings without any hassle. For a brief moment while deplaning, I got to meet him when he was around and out of the cockpit. It was just a beautiful experience. It pains my heart to realize that the same soul is unfortunately no more. May God bless his soul and may his family get the strength to bear with this loss.”
