Police have stepped up the probe into the killing of Shamli singer and YouTuber Ankit Baliyan after a high-level review meeting. The case has sparked anger among his family and local residents as officers say arrests may come soon.

Uttar Pradesh police have intensified their investigation into the murder of Shamli-based Haryanvi singer and YouTuber Ankit Baliyan, with Meerut Zone ADG Bhanu Bhaskar holding a high-level review meeting with senior officers in Shamli.
The ADG held a nearly two-hour meeting with DIG Saharanpur Abhishek Singh and police officials from Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat and Shamli. The meeting reviewed the progress of the investigation, efforts to trace the accused and action being taken by various police teams.
Bhanu Bhaskar said eight police teams have been formed to crack the murder case and are investigating different angles. Several teams are conducting raids in Haryana and searching for suspects.
The ADG said the police were close to reaching the accused and had also made significant progress in tracing the weapons allegedly used in the murder. He expressed confidence that the accused would be arrested soon and the entire case would be solved.
“Eight teams have been formed to solve the Ankit Baliyan murder case. Teams are also conducting raids in Haryana. The police are very close to tracing the weapons. The accused will soon be arrested and the entire case will be solved,” Bhanu Bhaskar said.
The murder has triggered anger among Ankit Baliyan’s family members and local residents, with attention now focused on the police investigation and the expected breakthrough in the case.
