
A tragic road accident in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, resulted in the deaths of five individuals. The incident occurred around 3 am when a speeding Scorpio collided with an auto, killing four family members returning from a temple visit.
At least five people were killed in a late-night road accident in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, near the Thatipur Jain Temple area. The accident took place around 3 am on Friday when a speeding Scorpio vehicle allegedly rammed into an auto, leading to multiple casualties.
According to police, the victims were family members who were returning from Sheetla Mata Temple near the bus stand when the incident occurred.
CSP Atul Kumar Soni said, “Around 3 AM, the family members who were returning from Sheetla Mata Temple near the bus stand met with a tragic death. In this case, a Scorpio driver has been arrested; the driver had collided with a vehicle at the bus stand and fled. Near the Jain Temple, he collided with an auto, resulting in the death of 4 people; treatment of 5 continues.
He further added, “we got the information that a Scorpio driver has collided with a vehicle at the bus stand… Near the Jain Temple, he collided with an auto… resulting in the death of 5 people, and 4 people are receiving treatment in the trauma centre… The car driver has been arrested, and his medical is being conducted.”
Police said the Scorpio driver first hit another vehicle near the bus stand and tried to escape. While fleeing, he crashed into an auto near the Jain Temple, causing the deaths.
