In a suspected food-poisoning case, 31 students of different educational institutes were admitted to a government hospital in Maharashtra’s Nanded city early on Thursday as they fell ill after consuming ‘pani puri’ at a roadside stall.
In a suspected case of food poisoning, 31 students from various educational institutions in Maharashtra’s Nanded city were admitted to a government hospital early Thursday after falling ill upon consuming ‘pani puri’ from a roadside stall, officials said, as reported by news agency PTI.
The affected students belong to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, SGGS College, and a local nursing college. According to an official from Dr Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College and Hospital, students began arriving at the facility from 4 am onwards with symptoms including vomiting, nausea, and uneasiness.
Following medical examinations, they were admitted to different wards for treatment. Hospital authorities confirmed that all students are currently in stable condition.
