A US Navy F-18 fighter jet and a Navy MH-60R Seahawk helicopter crashed separately into the South China Sea while operating from the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz on Sunday, as per Reuters report.
According to Navy officials, both incidents happened during routine operations, though they occurred at different times. Immediate rescue efforts were launched from nearby ships and aircraft, and all crew members involved were safely recovered from the water.
