Two terrorists have been killed along the Line of Control (LoC) near Machil and Dudniyal in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara as the Indian Army foiled a suspected infiltration attempt.

Fresh tension flared along the Line of Control (LoC) late Monday night, with firing and explosions reported from two locations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district — Machil and Dudniyal sectors — in what sources described as a possible infiltration attempt. Two terrorists have been killed by the security forces.
According to sources, troops detected suspicious movement near the Machil LoC, prompting an immediate response. “The army challenged the suspected infiltrators, leading to an exchange of fire,” sources said.
“In the Kupwara sector of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian Army troops witnessed some suspicious movement along the Line of Control and fired towards it in the evening, around 7 PM. Operations are continuing in the area. More details awaited,” Indian Army officials said in a statement quoted by ANI.
