PRESIDENT Donald Trump was astonished to meet a giant 7-foot-9 college basketball player on Wednesday at the White House.
The Florida Gators visited Donald Trump at the Oval Office to celebrate their national championship title.
A video of Trump and Rioux meeting each other was captured at the White House.
Trump was shocked to see Florida’s Olivier Rioux, who’s three inches away from being an astounding 8 feet tall.
Rioux hovered over Trump, who noted the 19-year-old’s height.
“To be that tall, I think it’s great,” Trump said, as seen in a clip from White House communications advisor Margo Martin.
The pair shook hands and then posed for a photo.
Then in the clip, Trump asked if Roux was a good player, and someone could be heard off-camera saying that he was “getting there.”
Roux didn’t play in the Gators’ national championship game victory over the Houston Cougars last month.
“Boy, what a big advantage, huh?” Trump then said of Roux’s stature.
Rioux didn’t appear on the court during the season.
He redshirted for the 2024-25 season.
The Canadian native supposedly stood at 6-foot-1 at the age of eight.
Rioux was on the bench as he saw Florida narrowly beat Houston 65-63 on April 7.
Trump was later speaking in the East Room with the Gators players behind him.
The commander-in-chief and coach Todd Golden held up a “Trump 47” Florida jersey for a photo.
Trump has gotten to meet numerous sports champions since he returned to office in January.
