More than a year after the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent, Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia have come together once again, marking a notable reunion on The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by Kapil Sharma. Their appearance on the popular Netflix comedy platform has sparked attention, as the duo shared the stage after a long gap following the controversy. The reunion not only brought them back into the spotlight but also added fresh buzz to the latest season, with fans eager to see their camaraderie on display once again. During the appearance, Samay revealed that Kapil had called him before his show, India’s Got Latent, was pulled down from YouTube.
Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia openly addressed the controversy during their appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, while host Kapil Sharma kept the tone light with his signature humour. In his introduction, Kapil playfully joked that Samay and Ranveer had become two of the most-searched personalities of 2025. He further added a tongue-in-cheek remark that not just the internet, but even police teams from different states were “searching” for them, taking a humorous dig at India’s Got Latent controversy.
During the conversation, the stand-up comedian even heaped praise on Kapil and called him a “legend.” Amid the praise, Ranveer asked Kapil if he used to watch Samay’s show. To this, the comedian-actor replied, “Maine bahut episodes dekhe. Maine Samay ko phone bhi kiya tha. Maine isko bola phone karke, ‘Tere pe abhi tak case kyu nahi hua?'” Samay then revealed, “Kasam se jab mera show band hua, uske ek din pehle mujhe sir (Kapil Sharma) ka call aaya tha, ki tere saath kuch bura hone wala hai. Sach me.”

Kapil agreed to him and added, “Maine kaha tha, ‘Dekh tu nazaro me aagaya hai, thodha sambhal ke chalna. Toh main apne experience se bata raha tha, main koi antaryami nahi hu. Aap kuch bhi bolke famous hojaao, lekin jab aap famous hogaye toh aap fir kuch bhi nahi bol sakte.”
