‘Game of Thrones’ actor Sophie Turner has joined the long list of international stars who have openly admired Bollywood, showering praise on Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
The global admiration for Bollywood continues to grow as international stars recognise the influence and reach of Indian cinema. Recently, Sophie Turner, known for her role in Game Of Thrones, expressed her appreciation for Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Turner’s remarks, made public in a recent interview, have garnered attention from fans and the entertainment industry alike, highlighting the ongoing cross-cultural appreciation between Hollywood and Bollywood.
In a recent interview with Firstpost, Turner shared her thoughts during a discussion about international cinema, highlighting her respect for Indian actors, particularly Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. She did not hesitate to praise their contributions and impact on global audiences, adding to the growing trend of Western recognition for Indian talent.
“My gosh, that’s tough! I mean, Shah Rukh Khan is the GOAT, right? But I love Deepika Padukone, I think she’s amazing. I loved watching RRR,” she said.
Having said that, the actor even shared her desire to be a part of a Bollywood film soon. “I’d actually love to be in a Bollywood movie. I’d love to do the dance. I think it’s such a spectacle and they’re so beautiful. The production design is so unlike anything I think we will ever see on a Western film set. I’d love to be in a Bollywood movie,” she added.
Although Sophie hasn’t worked in Indian cinema, she did visit India in 2018 for the wedding celebrations of her former brother-in-law, Nick Jona,s and Priyanka Chopra. This event drew global celebrities as well as major Bollywood stars.
