A venomous krait entered a girls’ hostel in Lohardaga and bit four students as they slept. One girl died, and three others were taken to hospital, with one later shifted to RIMS Ranchi.

A 13-year-old girl died and three other students were critically injured after a venomous krait entered the girls’ hostel of a private residential school in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga district and bit them while they were asleep.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night at Sanvasira Higher Secondary Residential School in Rocho Mahuatoli.
According to officials, the students had gone to sleep after dinner when the snake entered their room at around 11 pm.
It first bit Varsha Oraon, whose screams woke up the other girls. Before anyone could react, the krait also bit Anisha Oraon, Manisha Kumari and Fulmania Oraon.
