Punjab Kings (PBKS) bolstered their chances of making it to the IPL 2025 playoffs with a 37-run win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Dharamsala on Sunday (May 4). The Shreyas Iyer-led side was at the fourth spot before the start of the fixture. They now have 15 points in their account at an NRR of +0.376. PBKS have 7 wins in their account from 11 matches.
Rishabh Pant-led LSG suffered their sixth defeat of the season and they sit at the seventh spot. They aren’t officially out of the tournament yet but have bleak chances. They only have 10 points in their account at a below-par NRR of -0.469.
LSG failed to chase a big target of 237. Rishabh’s decision to bowl first cost them and their bowlers leaked a big score. The captain managed to score 18 off 17 balls in the huge chase.
