KIM Kardashian has been slammed for showing off her collection of expensive Hermes bags during a major economic struggle.
The model posted a photo of her four new colorful handbags lined up on the counter on her Instagram Stories late Sunday night.
According to the brand’s website, Kim‘s crocodile bags cost a total of $1million, with each bag costing several thousand dollars.
Fans were outraged by The Kardashians star blatantly flaunting her earnings in the middle of a government shutdown and shared their frustrations in an online forum.
“The timing of this is SO incredibly tone deaf, and shows just how out of touch with normality she really is,” one person wrote in the thread.
“Wants to be a lawyer but has not one ounce, of humility,” ripped another.
“That’s a disgusting amount of money to spend on handbags,” a third complained.
“In this economy?!” voiced a fourth.
“Ugh people are starving/dying Kim! How much is that worth?!” a fifth said, referencing a throwback moment from Keeping Up with the Kardashians where Kim’s sister Kourtney mocked her for crying over a lost diamond earring.
Kim doesn’t seem fazed by the current economic hardships, especially given her estimated net worth of $1.7billion.

However, she recently revealed she plans to walk away from show business and give up her Kim K brand.
Kim made the confession during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday.
The TV personality revealed she will soon be a qualified lawyer after taking the BAR exam in July.
She gushed over her dream future as an attorney and teased that she may leave her entire brand behind one day.
“Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer.
“That’s what I really want,” Kim admitted.
Kim was on the show to promote her new Hulu drama series All’s Fair, in which she plays a divorce lawyer.
Her co-stars include Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor, Niecy Nash Betts, and Naomi Watts.
The role appears to be a perfect fit for Kim, given her goal of becoming a lawyer and that she’s gone through several divorces of her own.
CO-PARENTING CHALLENGES
Kim was most recently married to rapper Kanye West for seven years before they split in 2022.
During the Season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, Kim revealed she suffered a brain aneurysm caused by stress following her divorce from Kanye.
Kim had spoken about Kanye’s involvement in their kids’ lives just days earlier on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
