tension between India and Pakistan post-Pahalgam terror attack, a recent report by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell has raised an alarm for the nation. Maharashtra Cyber Police, in its 20-page report, has raised red flags for what is being called one of the biggest cyber attacks or cyber warfare incidents.
According to a detailed report titled “Echoes of Pahalgam,” nearly one million cyber attacks have been recorded since April 22, post-Pahalgam terror attack. Marking a massive spike in digital intrusions, officials say what is concerning is the fact that these attacks are not isolated incidents but part of a larger, coordinated cyber offensive carried out in synergy between multiple groups from multiple countries.
The report highlighted how one of the attacker groups, identified as Team Insane PK, which is Pakistan-based, has been the leading force behind the attacks. The Pak-based group, along with Mysterious Team Bangladesh, Indo Hax Sec, Golden Falcon, and Moroccan Dragon from countries like Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Middle East, and Morocco, have unitedly launched one million attacks—all in a span of 8 days.
