Four students were seriously injured after another student allegedly poured thinner on them and set them on fire inside a school campus in Odisha’s Rayagada district.

Four students were critically injured in a fire incident on the school premises during classes at the Advanced High School in Paikadakuluguda, under the Bismakatak block of Rayagada district.
According to sources, at around 3 PM, some students from the school went towards the toilets on the school premises. During this time, a student allegedly poured thinner on four other students and then lit a match, setting them on fire. The students engulfed in flames started screaming.
Upon receiving the information, the teachers promptly rescued the four students from the fire and immediately took them to the Bismakatak Community Health Center.
After receiving first aid there, and considering their serious condition, all of them were referred to the Christian Hospital.
Biraj Takri is reported to be in the most critical condition among the injured.
