The investigation into Haryana police officer Y Puran Kumar’s death has taken a shocking turn with the discovery of his investigating officer, ASI Sandeep Kumar, found dead in Rohtak under suspicious conditions.

In a major twist in Haryana police officer Y Puran Kumar’s death case, the investigating officer in the case was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Rohtak district. The deceased, identified as Sandeep Kumar, was an assistant sub-inspector and was posted at the Cyber Cell.
A three-page suicide note and a video have been recovered from his house in Ladhot village. According to sources, Kumar shot himself.

In the purported note, Lathar has alleged that Y. Puran Kumar was a “corrupt officer” and that there were “ample evidence” against him. He also alleged that the IPS officer hijacked the system using the caste discrimination issue.
“I have always sided with the truth. My family has contributed to the fight for Independence. I consider Bhagat Singh as my idol,” the note found from the site said.
SP Rohtak Surendra Singh Bhoria remembered ASI Sandeep as a very honest and hardworking officer. “His body has been found. A Forensic team has been called here and an investigation is being carried out…He was posted in Cyber Cell,’ Bhoria told reporters.
ASI Sandeep was felicitated by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on August 15.
On October 6, ASI Sandeep Kumar arrested the gunner of Y Puran Kumar, allegedly in an illegal gratification case in which he was taking money from a liquor trader. As per the police, the liquor trader had previously complained to Puran Kumar about threat calls from a gangster who is based overseas.
The next day – October 7 – Puran Kumar died by suicide.

Sandeep’s alleged suicide comes days after the death of senior police officer Y Puran Kumar, who was found with a gunshot wound in his Chandigarh home on October 7. Kumar, 52, had recently been posted as inspector general, Police Training Centre (PTC), in Sunaria, Rohtak.
