KAM AGAIN? Kamala Harris says she could run for president AGAIN in 2028 despite crushing defeat to Donald Trump

  • October 26, 2025

The White House reacted to Harris’ comments over Trump with a very dismissive reply

KAMALA Harris has hinted she may run for the US presidency again in 2028 despite her crushing defeat to Donald Trump.

The Democratic former vice president vowed “I am not done,” as she also hit out at Trump by labelling her political foe a “tyrant”.

Speaking in her first UK interview since the election thumping by Trump last year, Harris said she would “possibly” be president one day.

She also told Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg she was confident that one day there will be a woman in the Oval Office.

The two leading female candidates in the past – Harris and Hillary Clinton – both lost to Trump on election night.

The polls currently have Harris as a clear outsider to make a triumphant return to politics and become the Democrats’ pick for 2028.

But a defiant Harris vowed: “I am not done.

“I have lived my entire career as a life of service and it’s in my bones.

“If I listened to polls I would have not run for my first office, or my second office – and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here.”

Harris made it clear she hasn’t yet decided if will definitely run in 2028 or in the future.

Some of the names currently stated on various betting sites to be more likely to be the next president include Ivanka Trump, Oprah Winfrey and Donald Trump Jr.

Harris also gave a scathing review of Trump’s first 10 months in the White House.

During the election run-up she labelled her rival a fascist as she warned a vote for him is a vote an authoritarian government.

She believes these statements still ring true today.

Harris said: “He said he would weaponise the Department of Justice – and he has done exactly that.

“You look at what has happened in terms of how he has weaponised, for example, federal agencies going around after political satirists.”

The defeated Democrat was referring to how the Trump administration handled the comments made by Jimmy Kimmel after the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Pressure from the US government led to the suspension of the late-night comic from ABC airwaves after he made a joke on his show.

“His skin is so thin he couldn’t endure criticism from a joke, and attempted to shut down an entire media organisation in the process,” Harris fumed.

Harris also hit out at business leaders and institutions in America who are “bending the knee at the foot of a tyrant”.

The White House reacted with a dismissive reply to the “absurd lies”.

“When Kamala Harris lost the election in a landslide, she should’ve taken the hint – the American people don’t care about her absurd lies,” said US spokeswoman Abigail Jackson.

“Or maybe she did take the hint and that’s why she’s continuing to air her grievances to foreign publications.”

Harris and the Dems were dealt a hammer blow on November 5, 2024 when America went to the polls.
