AN NFL star has been diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung and will play no further part in this season.
The terrifying discovery brings an end to New Orleans Saints star Chris Olave’s excellent campaign.

Olave, 25, had been due to play the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18 to close out a relatively positive year for the 6-10 Saints.
However, he has now been immediately ruled out as first revealed by Saints beat reporter Nick Underhill.
Underhill also clarified that the star wide receiver’s shock diagnosis was caught early and he ‘will be fine’.
Per Underhill on X, “Chris Olave will be out this week, per source.
“A blood clot was detected in his lung. Got caught early before anything bad could happen and will be fine. But not playing this week.”
Olave’s season ends with 100 receptions for 1,163 yards and nine touchdowns.
These are all career highs for the wideout out of Ohio State, who was taken with the 11th overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft.
Olave recently posted a picture of himself in hospital on Instagram with a caption explaining his situation.
It read, “Thank you God for everything! Right where I need to be, life is full of unexpected twists & turns & I’m grateful to experience it.
“Chin up, chest out & keep it pushin. I don’t want ya sympathy just talk to God for me. Bounce back otw!”
There is a strong chance that the only way is up for Olave and the Saints next season.
They have exceeded expectations in Kellen Moore’s first year as head coach despite missing the playoffs.
