1. The rescue operation following the bridge collapse in Mujpur, Padra, has been ongoing for over 12 hours. The District Collector and several other officials have been present at the scene since morning, closely monitoring the ongoing rescue efforts.
2. A truck loaded with soil and ceramic tiles had fallen into the Mahisagar River, and a search operation is underway at the site.
3. The operation is continuing under floodlights late into the night. Wires were brought in to pull the truck, which was straightened using a Hitachi machine. Three bodies have been recovered.
4. The bodies were taken to the Padra Community Health Centre for medical examination and later handed over to the families.
5. District Development Officer Mamta Hirpara and the Chief District Health Officer remained stationed at the community health centre to ensure that the victims’ families faced no inconvenience.
6. Of the bodies recovered in the evening, two have been identified: one as Mahendrabhai Parvatbhai Hatia from Dwarka and the other as Vishnubhai Rawal from Anklav.
