A big explosion, blackout in some parts and debris of a damaged building lying around were seen in the first visuals after India struck nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as part of its post-midnight Operation Sindoor.
A purported clip from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir showed a big explosion with people on their two-wheelers gawking at it.
India’s strikes on the terror camps came in retaliation against the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. Lashkar headquarters and Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar’s hideouts were among the nine targets, sources told India Today TV.
Hours after the strikes, the Indian Army said that Pakistan resorted to arbitrary firing, including artillery shelling from posts across the Line of Control, and three civilians were killed in the firing.
According to sources, among terror camps targeted were Bahawalpur and Mudrike in Pakistan, which are home to the headquarters of terrorist groups Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, respectively.
As part of Operation Sindoor, the Indian Armed Forces launched joint airstrikes inside Pakistani territory, targeting nine terror camps using Rafale jets armed with SCALP cruise missiles and HAMMER precision-guided munitions, as per sources.
