The Delhi Police have busted a fake international call centre, targeting foreign nationals, in south Delhi’s Satbari village and arrested eight people, including a woman.
According to the officials, the accused persons targeted foreign nationals using voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP)-based calling setups, foreign databases and fake communication tools and cheated hundreds of victims.

Multiple computer systems, mobile phones, VoIP software, and foreign data sets were recovered from the scene, officials said and added that three crypto wallets, multiple SIM cards, laptops and chequebooks were also recovered from the building.
According to the police, the cyber cell operation also uncovered fake firms, mule accounts, and e-commerce front companies.
Sanu, believed to be the mastermind, escaped shortly before the raid. Officials said that he is a repeat offender and has been named in multiple call centre frauds.
“A special police team has been formed to arrest him,” an official said.
