While he also faces three misdemeanors; public intoxication, battery with injury and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle.

Sanchez was stabbed during the incident and was subsequently taken to hospital in critical condition after being found at a bar.

He was eventually discharged on October 12.

A preliminary hearing regarding the case took place on Tuesday, although Sanchez was not present.

Per the AP, attorney Tim DeLaney said, “Thank you for allowing our client to be excused from today’s hearing.

“He’s still recovering from the injuries he sustained.”

A further hearing is set for November 20.

While a pretrial conference is also scheduled for December 2.

These dates are still subject to change.

Sanchez’s recovery process and the serious nature of his injuries could yet delay proceedings.

The Fox Sports broadcaster had been in Indianapolis to call the Colts-Las Vegas Raiders game on October 5.

He was subsequently pulled from the coverage, replaced by Brady Quinn.

Trucker Perry Tole also suffered serious injuries in the incident.

Sanchez is alleged to have accosted the 69-year-old over his truck blocking an alleyway.

Per police docs, Tole claimed that he sprayed Sanchez with pepper spray after starting to believe that he was in danger.

An affidavit alleges that Tole thought “this guy is trying to kill me” when Sanchez kept approaching.
