BWF World Championships 2025 Semi-Final Highlights: Star Indian shuttlers Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty had to settle for a men’s doubles bronze after losing their BWF World Championships semi-final on Sunday (IST). The Asian Games champions went down 19-21, 21-18, 12-21 against the Chinese pair of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi. The Indian pair looked second-best after struggling against the flick serves throughout the tie. Chen and Liu, who were trailing 5-11 at the interval, turned the tide on the Indians to claim the opener 21-19. Satwik and Chirag, however, responded to take the second game 21-18. However, it was one-way traffic in the decider and Chen and Liu wrapped up the final game 21-12

Chen and Liu are through to the final! A dominant performance from the Chinese pair in the decider. They take the game 21-12 and will now take on South Korea’s Kim and Seo in the men’s doubles final tomorrow. Satwik and Chirag sign off with a bronze. That’s a huge achievement considering their recent form. They will be on the podium tomorrow after the Korea vs China final.
