Tanvi the Great, directed by Anupam Kher, clashed with Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s Saiyaara at the box office. Both films were released on July 18, 2025. As for Tanvi the Great, the Shubhangi Dutt-starrer opened to mixed response from the audiences and critics alike. A few days after its big screen release, the film has been declared tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Following this, the senior actor thanked MP Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav.

Kher with the honourable CM of Madhya Pradesh at his residence in Bhopal. Post their meeting, the senior actor took to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, thanking Dr Mohan Yadav for declaring his film tax-free in the state.

Thereafter, it is our great fortune that you came to watch our film TanviTheGreat in the theater! Not only did you appreciate our film, but seeing the spirit of our film, you also declared it TAX FREE! This reflects your special sensitivity towards social issues and the armed forces. Once again, heartfelt thanks to you, your cabinet, and other staff! Jai Hind!,” he wrote in Hindi.
