Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and philanthropist Nita Ambani, has embarked on a 170-kilometre padayatra from his ancestral hometown of Jamnagar to one of India’s holiest cities, Dwarka.
Starting his journey on March 29, Anant has been walking around 20 kilometres daily, spending about seven hours each night on foot. He is expected to reach Dwarka on April 8, just a day before his 30th birthday.
What makes this padayatra particularly remarkable is that Anant is undertaking this physically demanding journey despite overcoming several health challenges, including Cushing’s Syndrome, a rare hormonal disorder, morbid obesity, asthma, and a severe lung disease.

On the professional front, Anant plays a key role in overseeing the world’s largest refinery and leads some of India’s most ambitious new energy transformation projects. He is also the founder of Vantara, an animal refuge that was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
