In an exclusive interview with Zoom, singer-composer Amaal Mallik addressed Arijit Singh leaving playback singing. He felt that more amazing songs and music were yet to come from Arijit. Amaal also spoke about how people kept pitting him with his younger brother Armaan.

While Amaal Mallik was candid during his stint in the Bigg Boss 19 house, after the show ended, the singer-composer is opening up even more afterwards. Amaal is feeling much more freer after spending time as a contestant on the Salman Khan-hosted show. He now has a better relationship with his parents and brother, singer-songwriter Armaan Malik. Despite their close relationship, Amaal revealed that people like to pit them against each other and take other brother’s name while referring to one another. He also spoke about the next stage of Arijit Singh’s career and stated his retirement was not an obituary.

Speaking with Zoom, Amaal called Armaan his baby and said it would never change. He stated that he was proud of Armaan’s achievements internationally and in India, “I’m proud to own it. He’s my child.”
The singer-composer is aware that people try to play them against each other. Amaal continued, “People tell him you work because your brother gives you a song. And people tell me your song is okay, it works because your brother is number one amongst the youth. They will put us both against each other. People will try to irk you all the time. Real life is also Bigg Boss only. What I enjoyed is that I understood in that space of three months, I purged every damn negative feeling and vibe.”

Moving to Arijit Singh who had revealed at the end of January that he would be stepping down from playback singing. Amaal assured fans that there was nothing to be worried about as around a hundred unreleased songs recorded in the past four years would eventually be coming.
