Three Indians who were travelling to Iran and went missing last month have been rescued by Tehran police.
Three Indian men, who had gone missing in May while they were travelling to Iran, have been rescued by Tehran police, a government source said.
The family of all three men, belonging to Punjab, had alleged kidnapping. The Indian Embassy in Iran took over the matter with the Iranian authorities after the issue was raised by the grieving families. The embassy requested the authorities to take up the matter on an urgent basis, and ensure their safety.
The mother of one of the men had alleged that they had been abducted there since May 1, and the kidnappers had demanded ransom to release them.
