A tragic accident in Saudi Arabia resulted in the deaths of 45 individuals, primarily from Hyderabad, when a bus collided with an oil tanker near Madina.

The ill-fated bus in Saudi Arabia that collided with an oil tanker and met with a brutal accident, claiming the lives of 45 innocent people, also carried 18 members across three generations from a single family.
At least 45 people, most of them from Hyderabad, were killed in Madina, Saudi Arabia, Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar said on Monday, citing preliminary information.
According to a relative, the bus had around 18 members from one family spanning three generations.
Mohammad Aslam, a nephew of Shaik Nazeeruddin, said that Nazeeruddin, a retired railway employee, was travelling with his wife, son, three daughters, and grandchildren to Madina when tragedy struck. Another son of Nazeeruddin resides in the United States.
In a statement, Aslam said he did not know whether it was an accident or something else, but confirmed that 18 members of his family were on board. He demanded a proper inquiry to determine the real cause of the accident.

Commissioner Sajjanar confirmed that 45 Indian Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana died, and only one survived, after the bus caught fire near Madina.
Addressing mediapersons, Sajjanar said the group was travelling from Makkah to Madina when their bus collided with an oil tanker about 25 km before Madinah, triggering a massive explosion. “The fire spread rapidly, leaving no time for most passengers to escape,” he said.
Of them, four travelled to Madinah separately by car, while another four stayed back in Makkah for personal reasons. The remaining 46 pilgrims were on board the ill-fated bus.
